Long Weekend: London 2016
Originally, we planned that our last big trip in Europe would be a road trip around England and Scotland right before we moved back to the US. Then, we looked into the cost of such a trip and decided maybe we weren't THAT interested. Greg was very insistent that he wanted to the London one more time before we left, so we decided that one long weekend trip was probably within our budget.

Rome, Pompeii and Mt Vesuvious, Italy
[Disclaimer: I wrote most of this post a month ago and believed that I had already published it. Sadly, I hadn't and just realized that today!]
Fourth of July weekend was a four-day weekend for us, so we decided to take a trip. After reviewing a few different options, our best bet was a trip to Rome, Italy.

Weekend Trip: Prague, Czech Republic
This weekend, we decided to take our first true road trip since we've moved to Germany. We've talked about going to Prague for the past year. In order to take a train to Prague, it would take about 9 hours rather than the 5 it takes to drive. After much debate, we decided to have our first road trip since May 2013.

London Trip for Valentine's Day 2014
This past weekend, Greg and I visited London! No, it wasn't technically "for" Valentine's Day, per say, but this year Valentine's Day fell on the Friday before President's Day, meaning that it happened to be the first day of a 4 day weekend. Since we won't get much time to travel very far in the next few months, we decided to jump on this opportunity to take a trip we've been discussing since we landed in Germany: a trip to the UK!
I could probably write a post for each day we spent there, because we crammed so much stuff into 3 days. Instead, I'll try to limited it to the basics.

Zermatt, Switzerland and Snowboarding the Matterhorn
Before I start what is about to be a very long and in depth post, Greg and I had a really awesome time on our snowboarding trip to Zermatt, Switzerland. The weather was great most of the time and we got a lot of great pictures and GoPro videos. It was a wonderful break from Germany that left us really missing Colorado and my Jeep. By the time we got home, we were both exhausted and ready to sleep for a full day straight. After the jump is all of the details of our trip and some advice for anyone planning a trip to Zermatt or Switzerland in the future.
